This module will focus in-depth on the development of skills and theoretical knowledge pertaining to the beginning and middle stages of the bi-cultural counselling process with tangata whaiora (clients). The module gives students opportunity to gain practical experience in working with Tangata whaiora under supervised conditions. Students will develop and demonstrate bi-cultural counselling skills appropriate to the tangata whaiora group with whom they are working and learn to use supervision to enhance their counselling practice.
