This module is designed for students who are not trained teachers. The module introduces language teaching skills and techniques, and the application of these within a supervised teaching practicum. The module includes planning, teaching and evaluating lessons; selecting and using resources; and developing and using appropriate materials. You will gain an understanding of central issues relating to teaching English to speakers of other languages, and apply that knowledge by developing and teaching lessons to a group of adult English language learners. You will evaluate your own teaching and receive feedback from others in order to modify your practice.
