    To prepare for distance delivery, we need you to follow some processes to:

    • Plan your courses to fit the distance delivery model
    • Work to transpose current face-to-face activities into online activities
    • Be familiar with online tools to facilitate learning

    This site provides resources to support these three areas.

      This video summarizes the main points from the staff workshops being held and made available to tutors. 

      Points that have been added to our message since creating this video include:

      • Each centre will have a COVID team member assigned to co-ordinate with the AT&L team.
      • Tutors are being asked to keep good records around communications with students. This information may become valuable at future PC Resulting meetings.

    • What we could do right now:

      • Download the templates
      • Plan one to two weeks ahead
      • Find out when your Team meeting is or book a time with TM to discuss your adjusted timetable.
      • Do your weekly plan
      • Help your colleagues - go looking for work and assist
      • Train your students in Moodle now - potentially survey about their:
        • Preparedness 
        • Connectivity   
      • Emphasise student self-management and responsibility for their learning
      • Work collaboratively with students  

        

      Maintain communication with learners  

        • Set up a Facebook or Messenger group if needed  
        • Download the Zoom App for your phone and computer.
        • Zoom self-help is on this site under Te Kete
        • Install the Teams App on your phone
        • Take photos, video demonstrations
        • Add audio to any PowerPoints you have
        • Pre-recording zoom  or teams meeting
        • Take photos  
        • Use workbooks 
        • Backup and restore COVID Moodle Template (If required due to disruptive changes being made to existing Moodle instance)
