Construction systems
A ‘construction system’ describes the materials and methods used to construct the building – foundations, floor, walls, roof.
Three categories of construction systems:
- Lightweight – e.g. timber, light steel frames
- Medium – e.g solid timber
- Heavy (high mass) – e.g. concrete block
