Cladding penetrations

Every time you penetrate (cut into, puncture) exterior cladding there is always the risk of air and moisture getting into the cladding. The wetter or windier the weather conditions the higher the risk.

BRANZ Weathertight has advice on how to reduce the risk of leaking through a penetration in the cladding, especially around windows and doors where the risk is highest.
