Completion requirements
Before the changes take effect
Prior to changes taking place, a Wintec wide comms will be sent to all staff and students. When this has happened you may post to the 'General Forum' a message including instructions for the changes and the upcoming week.
Based on adjustments made to the timetable with your team manager. Triple check that all dates are correct and all assessment information is available to students on day one. (Assessments do not change during the duration of the module unless it goes through your TM).
Weekly tasks
1. Complete your weekly planner for the upcoming week and send to you TM by the end of Thursday at the latest.
2. Transfer learning outcomes and activity instructions to your Moodle site as per template.
3. If you need support to substitute a face to face resource to an online resource refer to help resources.
4. Create activities for students to complete over the week with clear instructions of what to do.
5. Check for broken hyperlinks and either correct them or replace. ℹ
|
6. Send a message at the beginning of every week in the general forum outlining what is current in the module and what the activities are for this week. As assessments approach inform students. A copy of the activity list should be on the relevant topic page as per point 2. |
7. Check the student activity report: ℹ to check student progress - contact students if they are falling behind
8. Reply to student forum posts: ℹ provide feedback, answer questions, ask more questions, provide links to further resources if required.
9. Add value to resources by providing questions, activities or summaries. This will help them focus on important information.
Assessments
1. Ensure that any manually submitted assessments are transferred to an online submission if possible.
2. Adjust the assessment timetable as needed to accommodate any tasks that cannot be submitted online. Requires discussion with Team Manager or Programme Coordinator.
3. Ensure that assessments are marked and feedback is provided within the officially stipulated turn-around time.
4. Be consistent with your record-keeping, staff might be asked to provide a report about their results they can talk to prior to any PC meetings. This would include justifications and reasoning for any decisions. Where students have or have not been able to meet requirements, individual communications with students might be required to make difficult decisions.
