Add Activity Completion to specific activities
Completion requirements
Any item in Moodle can have Activity Completion, including labels, pages, URLs, quizzes, forums, assessment drop boxes, H5P etc.
To add Activity Completion to an item:
- Edit the Settings for the activity or resource
- Under Activity Completion select the desired option next to 'Completion Tracking'. This puts a tick box next to the item on the main page that gets ticked when the conditions you have just chosen are met.
Types of Conditions:
- Students can manually mark the activity as completed
- Moodle will mark the activity as complete when the student clicks the link.
- E.g. Clicking on a PDF will tick the box regardless of how much they read it.
- Moodle will mark the activity complete when they have satisfied specific conditions for completion - some of which differ dependent on the type of activity.
- E.g. A discussion forum might be completed by the student making one discussion post and replying to three others.
- A quiz might be marked complete only if the student gets a pass mark.
- An assignment might be marked complete when the student submits their file - even before they get a grade.
