Using Activity Completion to RESTRICT ACCESS

Once Activity Completion has been set up you can use the ticks as criteria for restricting access to items and tabs within your module.

For example:

• Activity 2 is not available to each student until they have ticked the box for Activity 1
• Or next week's tab remains hidden until they have completed (i.e. passed) the Health and Safety quiz.

In the settings for the activity/resource you want to restrict:

• Under the 'Restrict Access' heading, select 'Add restriction'
• Choose 'Activity Completion'
• Select the activity to govern access (i.e. select the activities that have to be completed before this activity can be accessed
• Select the EYE icon to the left of the restriction criteria if you want to make the activity invisible before it is accessible. Otherwise it will show to students as greyed out. Showing the activity greyed out lets the students know it's there and what they need to do to access it, but can clutter the page a little.
